Mark Barber

Mark Barber is the Head of Qualifications and Partnerships at OxfordAQA International Qualifications, the fastest growing international exam board, globally, and a joint venture between Oxford University and AQA, the UK’s largest provider of GCSE and A Level qualifications. Previously, Head of International Business Development at the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring, Barber provided baseline assessments and data measuring for schools to support ongoing improvements in teaching and learning throughout a child’s schooling and assessment. He also served for 10 years at Cambridge Assessment International Education as Regional Manager for Sub- Saharan Africa, overseeing the introduction of skills based educational programmes to support curriculum built on problem-solving, entrepreneurial skills, and quality professional development to support teachers in delivering project-based learning needed in emerging and developing markets. He has also previously held posts in ELT and the rehabilitation of young offenders with The Prince’s Trust, the charity of HRH King Charles.
