Pir Saad Ahsanuddin

Investment Expert, Co-founder Cinepax & Partner, Digital Frontier Capital

Pir Saad Ahsanuddin began his career as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), New York, where he advised and closed several billion dollars of M&A transactions and privatizations. He is recognised as a pioneer of private equity in the Middle East, having co-founded and directed a team that successfully raised a USD 730 million fund in Bahrain under the Emerging Markets Partnership (EMP), a Washington DC based global private equity firm. Ahsanuddin has co-founded several successful companies in Pakistan including the first branded entertainment multiplex chain, Cinepax; a local entertainment content company, Footprint; a countrywide security tech company representing blue chip international brands, Star Technologies; an international consumer electronic company, Jawbone; as well as a successful real estate development business. From 2003-2008, he served on the Privatization Commission of Pakistan, concluding deals worth billions across various sectors. He played a crucial role at New Silk Route, sourcing significant investments across the Middle East and Asia. Presently, he holds executive positions in various sectors, from entertainment to railroad logistics, and is a partner at Digital Frontier Capital. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from Brown University, he also holds an MBA from Harvard. Additionally, he has served in honorary roles on various national boards, championing the private sector business community.
